The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina awards $20,000 to Henderson County Habitat for Humanity
Hendersonville, NC (November 23, 2015) - Henderson County Habitat for Humanity has been awarded a People in Need Grant of $20,000 to put in place a constituent management software system. The system will help build the internal capacity of the organization to be more self-sufficient and improve its fundraising capabilities.
Funding for this program was provided by the Little Acorn Endowment Fund, Donald E. Novy, Sr. and Doris A. Novy Charitable Fund, and Janirve Legacy Fund of The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. CFWNC is a permanent regional resource that facilitates more than $15 million in charitable giving annually. More information on The Community Foundation can be found at www.cfwnc.org.
"The foundation's investment will enable Habitat to improve its efficiencies in community outreach to increase financial contributions, which in turn will help broaden our programs and serve more low-income families" said Habitat President & CEO, Ron Laughter. This award will help Habitat offset the decreasing federal funding for programs like ours and help bolster our private support efforts to continue to meet the needs of Henderson County."
