First Baptist Hendersonville

“We work together to help families, and we are doing it for God’s glory.”

~ John Roach, First Baptist Member

Since Henderson County’s Habitat for Humanity began in 1989, First Baptist Church Hendersonville has been a dedicated volunteer and financial supporter. Church members have helped build numerous homes with hard work, skills, and a commitment to the community.

First Baptist liaison John Roach recalls a memorable “Blitz Build Day” in 2011 or 2012, when around 200 volunteers from the church joined to support construction, run the refreshment booth, and provide games for children. In another 2012 Blitz Build, they completed a house from slab to roof in a single day.

First Baptist continues to support multiple missions, and Habitat for Humanity is grateful for their longstanding partnership.
