Other Volunteer Opportunities
Homeowner Selection Committee
The Homeowner Selection Committee Volunteers work with Homeowner Services to work with potential home buyers to determine fit and eligibility to the Habitat program.
Development Committee
The Development Committee Volunteers work with the Director of Development in identifying potential community partnerships. Development Committee volunteers should have good community connections and be actively involved in the community.
Community Outreach Committee
Community Outreach Volunteers work with the Volunteer Coordinator to be advocates for Henderson County Habitat for Humanity. These volunteers will be trained to answer questions about what we do, how we do it, who we help and how people can get involved. Community Outreach Committee members will help represent Habitat at community events where Henderson County Habitat might have the opportunity to have an outreach table, or they might assist with special build events.
Other Opportunities
There are endless possibilities to volunteer with Henderson County Habitat for Humanity. Some of our other opportunities are:
- Translators – Henderson County is a diverse community and our Habitat works to help all members of the community, equally. Occasionally, we have need of translators to help with a wide variety of language needs in a number of departments.
- Social Media Volunteer – A volunteer skilled with social media is needed to update our social media sites on a daily to weekly basis, depending on the site. The goal of this position is to help increase our social media presence to help us increase awareness of the need for affordable housing, the need for volunteers and the many opportunities at the ReStore.
- Office Support – Office support volunteers would help with data input, mailings, surveys or other office related activities that may occur.
